Final Cotents page

12 Mar

This was the idea that i decided to carry forward for my final contents page for my informal school magazine. As mentioned before i have used the same colour schemes as the front cover to allow continuity and to overall look more professional. I dedcided to use the school logo, as it was relevant to the magazine, however i cchanged the opacity of the image so that it didn’t overpower the text on the page.

Contents Page

I decided to create the contents page for my first magazine as i felt that it was easier to relate to and i would be able to make it more interesting than the prospectus, however i have been struggling to come up with ideas to put on the page, that will be interesting enough to make the audience want to read on. I have used the same colour scheme as i did on the front cover so that the magazine is constistant.

I wanted to use this as the background as it shows the audience the school, so is therefore relevant and creates a positive image. This is achieved by the bright blue sky and clean surroundings, as they help to create a pleasant atmosphere.  Also by not including any students in the picture i think it doesn’t cause distractions and allows the reader to prodvide their own idea of the school life. The low angle shot makes the school seem as if it is standing tall, which may suggest that it is superior.

Second School Magazine Cover

For my second magazine cover i needed to produce it for a different audience, seeing as the first one was aimed at students i decided to aim the second one more at parents. So i therefore needed to make the cover more formal, i  did this by turning it into more of a school prospectus than a magazine.

I chose to use this photo in particular as the main feature of my front cover, as i feel that it is a very natural photo and doesn’t look too staged. Also the students are situated infront of the sixthform block itself so it isn’t random either. The way that they are laughing creates the impression of a happy environment.
